Here is the horse and leaves purse completed. (Can I count these oak leaves :innocent: )

My camera's flash has developed a mind of it's own and is giving me fits.

mike,

Nice job on the purse. I like the contrasting colors between the green leaves and tan backrouund.

Mike, Great looking bag! Colors look great together and the lacing is tight. Wouldn't want to share the pattern would you?

Very nice, Mike. I like your oak leaves a lot. If I carried a big purse, I'd carry that one!

Awesome job, Mike!

I love the purse! As for your photographs, download a copy of the freeware "Irfanview." Open your picture and use "enhance colors" > "gamma correction." You can bring up the detail in a picture that's almost too dark to see.

This is the BEST little image software I've used. And it's FREE!! Give it a try.

If you like my tip, how about letting me come visit you for a couple of days and teach me something about leather?

Very nice! Wish my wife would carry something like that, I would happily attempt it.

The purse is gone now. Thank you for your nice comments. It was given as a gift to a co-worker. I think she likes it.

Hilly - the purse is really not that large. About 7.5" h, 10.5" w and 2" deep.

MikeG - It's a hell of a commute from TN to TX.

Warren - my wife wants zippers, pockets inside & out, carvings and soft leather. She's still waiting.
