Hello! I made some miniature leathercaft tool keychans/charms. They're crafted from polymer clay and glazed for a nice finish. My partner recently got into clay work and so I though "what the heck." These were born and I am actually quite pleased. They're on there with my keys as a type this, and I'm normally not the keychain type. I even made a set of maul earrings for a woman who saw the minis on Facebook and loved them. I decided I would throw them up for sale on my new site if anyone wants to check out more photos, but that's not the purpose of the post, only because lots of people have been asking if I sell them. I just think they're neat!

I could see something like that hanging from the underside of one of my workbench shelves from a cup hook, or as a Christmas decoration.  Better yet, hanging from the mirror in the car...  That would be a conversation starter.   Nice job.

Most excellent

I used to make some creations in polymer clay. Your wood effect is very good.  I especially like it on the round knife handle.  Did you use flexible polymer clay for the round knife blade?

Thank you very much. No I didn't, it's thick enough that I'm not too worried about it breaking. I could definitely add a small wire around the blade end for support in future iterations if it does become a problem.

Yes! Actually I did get someone asking about them as a Christmas ornament. Might be an angle worth exploring, making them slightly larger. And hanging from the rear view mirror in a car or at the work desk is a perfect place for them.

I have some polymer clay that after its cooked is like hard rubber. Its near impossible to break anything made with it. I think Sculpey or FIMO make a similar clay

+ 1  for Christmas ornaments

- 1 for hanging from vehicle rear view mirrors, I am totally against anything hanging from the mirrors

You would hate riding in my truck... LOL! From my rearview mirror I have a garter from a good friends wedding, a fake Hawaiian Lae, my HS graduation tassel, a leather necklace with a pewter pendant my sister gave me decades ago, and a set of large earrings I made my wife.

Fredk,

I normally don't go for things hanging from mirrors, and in some states, it's illegal.  It was in VA, back when I was working... But for a smaller item like the mallet, I could see it.  If not the mirror, the visor mount in the corner, or my gps mount on the dash.
