CreativeName Report post Posted September 27 This is my current and most ambitious project. I know the stitch line is not straight. I would welcome comments and suggestions. One question, is there a preference for stitching the front or back needle first when saddle stitching?
TonyV Report post Posted September 28 (edited) That will work out great. I think of leather work is 99% precise guessing, so a little bit of an offset line only means it's hand made with love. I prefer starting (after the backstitch) from the back needle first. I'm right handed, so that's the left hand needle. AFIK that's the traditional way. But like most all things in leather work, 10 people will give you at least 12 different answers. Edited September 28 by TonyV
CreativeName Report post Posted September 28 Only 12 different answers? What are they? Lazy?
Dwight Report post Posted September 28 It really only gets tough when you try to use 3 needles and 4 different colors Other than that . . . just remember to do whatever you do . . . the EXACT same throughout the stitching. May God bless, Dwight
