Roger Posted December 11, 2007 Author Report Posted December 11, 2007 very nice work just curious how you got the fading lighter color, and the process you used to get such a rich look to your work. thanks skip! i have been using an airbrush for quite some time to fade the dyes. much more control that way. as far as the look.. dunno. i always give the leather a good coat of lexol after the dye is applied then a good buff with denim finished off with a coat or two of pecards then buff again. i spend between 8 and 10 hours on a tool bag roger cool bag!!what kind of material do you line your bags with? thanks!! i picked up some 2-3 0z. leather from siegel's. nice soft stuff good for lining ect. the edges are skived before glueing ans stitching Quote
