very nice work just curious how you got the fading lighter color, and the process you used to get such a rich look to your work.

i have been using an airbrush for quite some time to fade the dyes. much more control that way.

as far as the look.. dunno. i always give the leather a good coat of lexol after the dye is applied then a good buff with denim finished off with a coat or two of pecards then buff again. i spend between 8 and 10 hours on a tool bag

i picked up some 2-3 0z. leather from siegel's. nice soft stuff good for lining ect.

the edges are skived before glueing ans stitching

Roger, do you have a basic stock pattern that you start your tool bags with?

still working on the new site but it's coming along.

i started with the pattern tandy offers.
