Members fleabitpokey Posted February 23, 2007 Members Report Posted February 23, 2007 Hi there, I would like to say hello to everyone here. My name is Stephanie. I am in California. I feel so lucky to have found this group. I have taken a look around, and the talent here is awesome. I hope that all the questions that come from my direction won’t bother anybody. I am here to learn from those that are willing to teach. One of my goals is to be able to make a living at leatherwork. Another is to be able to continue raising my 4 year old grand daughter. Not necessarily in that order. I have tried to teach myself to tool and carve leather. I have kind of had a “hobby†outlook about it until recently. I have picked up a some books and patterns over the last couple years and the information is great ,but to be able to have live people to ask questions and bounce ideas around with ,is so much better. There is so much to learn. I want to become a custom chap builder. The kind of chap the working cowboy or cowgirl or biker would be proud to wear. So ready or not…..Stephanie Quote

Contributing Member wolvenstien Posted February 23, 2007 Contributing Member Report Posted February 23, 2007 I hope that all the questions that come from my direction won’t bother anybody. Well, I for one get annoyed at stupid questions like, Does 1 plus 1 equal 3? As long as that doesnt happen, i dont see us having any problems.... LOL Welcome to the group... Mike Quote
Members SmilinJim Posted February 23, 2007 Members Report Posted February 23, 2007 Hi Stephanie, welcome. You picked a great place to learn. There are some true artists here. Experts in just about anything you can ask I believe. Don't be afraid to ask questions, as a college professor told me, " If you have a question then someone else here probably does too. So help them out too and ask your questions. " Keep on Smilin Jim Quote
