Well I guess it is a moot point.  Been told that Juki stopped making the LS-1342 and the LS-1342-7.  No new or used ones that I can find.  Got a couple of dealers looking...

I did check with the Canadian main distributor: The Juki LS-1341 is still available, the Juki LS-1342 has been dropped and the LS-1342-7 has been replaced with the LS-2342-7 which has a longer arm.

Thank you to all members who replied to this topic.

We decided on the Juki LS-2342-7 on a space saver table with one pedal control and the CP-18 computer.  It uses the same everything as our LU-2810-7 so she will hit the ground running.  Better yet we found a hidden gem of an Authorized Commercial Dealer only 80 miles away.

Got our Juki LS-2342-7 in this weekend.  Great experience !  We were able to test machine and load and bring it home directly.  The dealer included a CP-180 instead of the CP-18.  They also gave us the Operation Manual, Parts Manual and Engineers Manual for it on a USB drive.  Wife has done a couple of small projects already.  She says it sews tight very well which is key to her bag making.

Note that the machine comes with a minimal flexible neck LED light.  It is made for 120-220v and is very dim.  Hunt will begin for a great flexible LED light.

Again, thank you for treating this newbie so nicely.

Cheers

If you have an Ikea in your neighborhood, they have/had a desk lamp.  I took the base off, made a bracket for it and bolted it to the top of my machine.
