Members barcsaddlery Posted March 13 Members Report Posted March 13 I have acquired an older Claes 8346 - I believe it might be a 10 because the bobbins are TINY. I'm just curious if it is possible to swap out the cylinder/arm to essentially upgrade the machine to a 20 or 30. Thanks! Quote

Members Constabulary Posted March 14 Members Report Posted March 14 check the parts list and try to figure what parts are needed but I honestly doubt you can do that and even if it was possible the parts will be crazy expensive. Quote
Members shoepatcher Posted March 14 Members Report Posted March 14 Might be able to but will be expensive. Parts list will show parts that can be switched. Both 10 and 20 use needle system 81. glenn Just now, shoepatcher said: Might be able to but will be expensive. Parts list will show parts that can be switched.
