RockyAussie Posted April 10 Report Posted April 10 Help needed please. I have a 227R cylinder arm that keeps pulling the knot to the top when i do a left corner. The top tension has the knots close to the bottom mostly except when doing a left corner. Right corners no problem. I have tried swapping from an LR needle to a TRI needle and that helped a bit but not much. I am on size 20 nylon bonded and have tried using a size 22 needle instead of a 23 needle but still only a little better. The back foot is the right side with an open toe center front foot in place. Any ideas what else I may be missing?? Quote

Just my early morning, coffee deprived thoughts. As a quick test use a back foot that is opposite (back foot with Left side with an open toe center). Then do a the same stitching. If the same thing happens but opposite it's probably a tension issue. I think the it has to do with the amount of presser foot tension being applied in the turn being ever so slightly less on the turn. It might be the also the presser foot being machined slightly off. kgg Quote

It seems to have some relationship to lifting the feet when turning as well I think. Quote
