PastorBob Posted Wednesday at 05:20 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 05:20 PM One of the older (80's) gentlemen from my church asked if I could make him a guitar strap for him that he would pass on to his grandson. He was pleased with it. As you can see in the pics, some of the stamps didn't align perfectly. We're probably the only ones that will see it. AlZilla Posted Wednesday at 09:27 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 09:27 PM Looks like you've been busy. I've tried that snaky looking pattern in the middle a few times. It seems simple enough but soon it looks like Otis the drunk took over. I should probably stop calling myself Otis. I definitely like the mystery braid looking work on the edges. Is it a stamp? AEBL Posted Saturday at 09:13 PM Report Posted Saturday at 09:13 PM Is there some way to fill in gaps left by the "meander" stamp? I was worried if I started to stamp something with that pattern I'd leave gaps somewhere. Very nice work. Quote

I was worried if I started to stamp something with that pattern I'd leave gaps somewhere. Very nice work. I am not sure what you mean by "gaps". The way I use the stamp is to first, create 2 scribed lines parallel to each other, about 1/2" apart. I take the stamp and align the flat bottom on the inside of one of the lines. The next stamp goes next the first, butting the stamp up to the end of the last stamp's impression. I continue the entirety of the line. Then I move to the second line. The second line's run of stamps is such that the top portion of the stamp (the round part) falls between two stamps on the first line. And yes, sometimes, I have to leave a little gap at the bottoms because I don't always perfectly align the bottoms on the first line. Is that what you are referring to? AEBL Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago @PastorBob, yes, that's what I'm referring to ... I was wondering if you fill in those gaps with a small tool or something Quote

I just use wing dividers to score the lines. Quote In God's Grace, Pastor Bob "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 www.PastorBobLeather.com YouTube Channel
