Members Airickjay Posted May 16, 2025 Members Report Posted May 16, 2025 I made my first "real" wallet recently, and I noticed that there are some small marks on it. Is there a good way to remove them? If it were shoes, I would polish them. Quote
AEBL Posted May 19, 2025 Report Posted May 19, 2025 (edited) Clear shoe polish? Honestly, looks fine to me though. My products tend to not look like high-end designer goods though. I don't spend a lot of time trying to not use the bug bites, scuffs and scratches that are on the hide, or the errant scratches that make it onto my piece even though I try very hard to be careful with it. I know that I'm going to use the heck out of it anyhow. Edited May 19, 2025 by AEBL Quote
Members dikman Posted May 19, 2025 Members Report Posted May 19, 2025 I cleaned my glasses but I still can't see any problems with the wallet. Quote Machines wot I have - Singer 51W59; Singer 331K4; Seiko STH-8BLD; Pfaff 335; CB4500. Chinese shoe patcher; Singer 201K (old hand crank)
Members SUP Posted May 20, 2025 Members Report Posted May 20, 2025 Your wallet looks fine to me. It is leather, after all and once was on a living creature. It cannot possibly look like factory manufactured smooth plastic. 🙂 Therein lies the charm of leather though. Quote Learning is a life-long journey.
