Kevin King Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 Ok, here is my first attempt at a tri-fold wallet (full size). Black is cow, inside and out. all of the brown stuff is pig. orange contrast stitching. The snaps used to be black, but a wire brush and some sandpaper gave me that distressed look I wanted. I kept the overlay simple as this was an experiment. Let me know what ya'll think. Quote
esantoro Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 Beautiful work, Kevin. To do the fine stitching, do you crank the machine by hand? ed Quote
Kevin King Posted December 25, 2007 Author Report Posted December 25, 2007 Thanks Ed. On the graphics i mostly hand crank, but i'm getting better at running the topstitch on the binding. Quote
esantoro Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 Kevin, There's a guy here in NYC, Queens to be specific, Who makes leather goods with stitching very similar to yours and sells them for big bucks. I'll see if I can dig up a link. Here's his website, though the item that makes me think of your work, a black and orange or red stingray and cross, isn't listed. http://www.tednemethdesigns.com/ Ed Quote
