Members dhaverstick Posted July 6, 2025 Members Report Posted July 6, 2025 (edited) I hardly ever make myself a leather doodad, but I had some time between other projects so I whipped up this arm guard. The backing is vegetable tanned cowhide and the facing is pirarucu hide, a fish in South America. The arrowhead is carp hide, the trim is deer hide, and I carved the lace hooks out of deer antler. Everything was sewn up by hand using artificial sinew. I was happy with it. Darren Edited July 8, 2025 by Northmount Loaded 3rd party hosted files here where they should have been posted Quote
PastorBob Posted July 7, 2025 Report Posted July 7, 2025 That is super sharp. About time to get the bows out for hunting. Can't wait. Quote In God's Grace, Pastor Bob "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 www.PastorBobLeather.com YouTube Channel
AEBL Posted July 11, 2025 Report Posted July 11, 2025 Great armguard! How did you fix the hooks to the leather? Quote
