Members dhaverstick Posted July 6 Members Report Posted July 6 (edited) I hardly ever make myself a leather doodad, but I had some time between other projects so I whipped up this arm guard. The backing is vegetable tanned cowhide and the facing is pirarucu hide, a fish in South America. The arrowhead is carp hide, the trim is deer hide, and I carved the lace hooks out of deer antler. Everything was sewn up by hand using artificial sinew. I was happy with it. Darren Edited July 8 by Northmount Loaded 3rd party hosted files here where they should have been posted Quote
PastorBob Posted July 7 Report Posted July 7 That is super sharp. About time to get the bows out for hunting. Can't wait. Quote In God's Grace, Pastor Bob "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 www.PastorBobLeather.com YouTube Channel
AEBL Posted July 11 Report Posted July 11 Great armguard! How did you fix the hooks to the leather? Quote
