JohnBarton Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) Y'all know we spend too much time on these forums, and sometimes we go insane with the things we post. Well, Doug and I go back quite a ways to when RSB rec.sport.billiard, a usenet group (now that's showing some age in internet terms) was fun more than a decade ago. We have both gone a little crazy now and then and been basketcases ourselves. Edited January 17, 2009 by JohnBarton Quote Support Quality. We are all humans. Buy the best no matter where it's made. Dags3777 Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 That is a stunning piece of craftsmanship, truly beautiful. Darryl Quote When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised God doesn't work that way, so I stole one and prayed for forgiveness.
Members TroyS Posted January 17, 2009 Members Report Posted January 17, 2009 Incredible! Absolutely breathtaking! I played competition 8-Ball ("8-Ball Break" Champion) and was a team captain for about 11 years and never saw ANYTHING that commanded my attention the way this does! Outstanding workmanship! Members Greybeard Posted January 17, 2009 Members Report Posted January 17, 2009 That is an Outstanding Case, Very Dramatic! I like that you left it natural w/ just the hi-lights. When I go to Make a Case, as I'm sure I will, I'm gonna try and pick your brain! Man, The amount of talent on this board is Scary... I should repost the story behind Tampa Tubby Bob - I am sure you all would get a chuckle and appreciate Smorg's humor. Quote Support Quality. We are all humans. Members Big Papa Leather Posted January 17, 2009 Members Report Posted January 17, 2009 I think a tear just came to my eye... That case is absolutely incredible. Thanks for making me feel feeble and inadequate. Allen Great job. Quote Big Papa Leather
Ambassador abn Posted January 17, 2009 Ambassador Report Posted January 17, 2009 We need to start a new forum entitled "Masterpieces" for those few projects, like this one, that simply transcend the "Show Off" forum... Fantastic job, John! Quote
gtwister09 Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 John, Very nice. Great triweave execution and case construction. It has an interesting mix of floral styles. Usenet groups <chuckle> have certainly been around a while and like everything that changes they are dropping by the way side for forums like this (except maybe for file sharing). Regards, Ben Quote
