Just wanted to say Hi,

found this site last night while searching google for leather sewing machines. I've been trying to teach myself leather tooling for the past 3 years on and off..the ultimate goal is to make my own motorcycle seat for a West Coast Chopper I am building. My tooling and carving need a lot of work, but I finally have time and the space to practice regularly.

here's some of my projects I've been working on..

leather pics

I am no artist, so I copy t-shirt designs I like..a lot from West Coast Choppers.. so I can practice until I figure out my own design. Working on my third wallett, which is my first from scratch ( aka not a tandy kit) so we'll see how that turns out.

Tim,

Welcome to the forum. Unlike the roman forum we seldom throw folks to the lions 8-)

At one time or another everyone one of us were just starting. What I saw in the pictures looked very good. Hope to see more in the future.

Hello Tim! :welcome: This is the best place to hang out on the net! I see by your work you also like wallets, well, we have a few of the top wallet makers in the world! Leatherworking is one of those crazy hobbies that keeps challenging us to not only improve but try new projects... You start by making a key chain and after spending a few weeks here your making masks, quivers, and armor! :)

Thanks for the kind words ... I got into wallets cause I needed a new one and couldn't buy one I like.. so hopefully this current one I am making will work for me, except I saw one that ( I think his name is Kevin King?) made on here and it gave me a bunch of ideas ( like getting one of his)

as for being a mac user..I am so much a Mac addict I work for them. Just need time off to work on my leather tooling
