New Pouch

Recommended Posts

Here's the new pouch I finished up this weekend. I colored it using Tandy's Tea Green highlighter. The dragon was colored using a gold leafing pen. I think it turned out nicely. What do you guys think?

I like your dragon, and how the gold leafing turned out. I'm going to have to try that. If you like metallic colors, the Createx pearlized colors are also very nice.

What did you use for a finish on this?

Thanks for posting!

Kate

I finished it with spray Neatlac on both sides of the piece before it's assembled, then a quick spritz on the lacing once it's put together.

I'll have to check out the createx colors :) I've never heard of them but they sound interesting.

Very nice, yes I like it.

Could you tell me what kind of Backgrounder you´ve used? Or is this the original Leather-Surface? It looks great.

I'm glad you like it :)

The entire surface is backgrounded with Tandy's E294 series. I recently made a purse based on this pouch and backgrounded the strap too.

Neat dragon!!! I sure like the gold you got with that pen, I want one too;-)

That backgrounder is my favourite to work with, it does the job fast and is easy to use and looks good.
