TomSwede Report post Posted February 27, 2009 Nutting fancy, just an inlayed name. Not happy with carving but it is what it is now and deadline to close to go back and redo it. Didn't get the borderlines as straight as I wanted either. Tom

TomSwede Report post Posted February 27, 2009 Nice job, Tom. Glad to see you have been busy. I like the hardware on that - is that a brushed finish on the belt and keeper?Keep 'em coming! Crystal Thank you Crystal!!! It's been a while since I posted and I only work on and off at the moment. I got the buckle from customer, it is just some kin of steel, old and used. The keeper is a treat from me since I didn't have the time to make a fitting one myself. Looks alomst like brushed but i think it's some kind of antique finish to it. ALMOST fits with the buckle ;-) Gunna try pick up pace but I've been saying that since early January ha ha Tom

Sometimes less is more, knowhutImean? Nice clean look. You really know how to bring out that rich, natural texture of the leather.Kate Thanks a bunch Kate!! Yep, I love the term less is more!! This is only my third project where I use Fiebings Aussie conditioner and Fiebings Leather Balm With Atom Wax as top coat and before that I mainly used Fiebings Leather sheen. I think a good buffing might be the key no matter what top coat used. Nice, clean look. Good job!Bob Thank you very much Bob!
