rookie Report post Posted March 17, 2009 I have had these boots for many years and I would wear a black belt with them. I decided to make a belt that matches the boots better.

How did you dye the back, flowers, and did you resist the border and then burnish it? Tell All!!! pete
rookie Report post Posted March 17, 2009 (edited) Black Background, oxblood on flowers with a black antique cream over the top. I burnished the edge then sealed it before I started. I mixed a couple of drops of black dye with the oxblood, just to darken it up a little. On certain parts of the tooling I stained heavier to get some depth into the belt. TomSwede Report post Posted March 17, 2009 Very good looking belt!! The edga looks very good in natural and gives a very nice framing to the floral work. Nice match to your boots!!! Tom
