Members ta2r Posted April 2, 2009 Members Report Posted April 2, 2009 Here are a couple of roper wallets that I've done. The Texas Long Horn theme was a christmas gift to my step-son and was one of my "from scratch" creations, it was the first and only time I've done an inlay and I used orange stingray skin. Stingray looks cool but I really don't like working with it. The other is a kit that I purchased to use as a template and decided to tool it to look like the kit picture. Both turned out OK but I don't think I would "pay" for either one of them. Each wallet has some major flaws, other than they look like beginner projects, as the interior on the floral wallet buckeled and puckerd because the holes didn't line up right and on the Texas wallet the inlay looks to be a little flimsy because I didn't back it with leather to keep the wallet from being too thick and bulky. I did line the Texas wallet with a nice flying skull fabric though. Quote
