It's made from 8/9oz veg tan 'Saddle Shoulder' with solid brass fittings. I would normally bind these in a matching leather binding, however, the customer wanted the dark brown instead. The shoulders are too short to make the case all in one piece, therefore I had construct it in two parts, joining them with a 3-row Puritan chain stitch machine, using the same machine for the barrel end.
