SteveBrambley Report post Posted April 5, 2009 Hi, Here's a few pics of my latest shotgun case/slip. It's made from 8/9oz veg tan 'Saddle Shoulder' with solid brass fittings. I would normally bind these in a matching leather binding, however, the customer wanted the dark brown instead. The shoulders are too short to make the case all in one piece, therefore I had construct it in two parts, joining them with a 3-row Puritan chain stitch machine, using the same machine for the barrel end. SteveBrambley Report post Posted April 7, 2009 (edited) who would not be proud to own that ,, what did you line it with? any pictures of the inside? Thank you very much! I lined the main part with a simulated fleece material which has 10mm of foam bonded to the back. The closure flap is lined with a pig suede. Unfortunately the case has now gone off to the customer, however, here is a photo of a similar case I made some time ago, to show you the general idea. With this case, the zip goes right across under the flap, however, the case in the earlier pics had the zip stop short of the flap, as that is how the guy wanted it. Steve Terry, Rusty, Ray, many thanks for your kind words! Steve Edited April 7, 2009 by SteveBrambley
