leatheroo Report post Posted April 19, 2009 I thought i would post some pictures of a project i made a long time ago. One day about 2 hours before my sons archery was due to start, he asks me to make him a bow stand as he didnt like lying his bow on the grass and others had their own versions of a bow stand. This is what i came up with. It was a rush job and i cringe at the sad excuse for lacing. However i received many orders for this style of stand. The ones i made after this were much neater and more refined. I consider this one a prototype, but i never took pictures of the better ones i made. There was no need for the tri bolt as the bows dont weigh much, and with the leather around the legs, the height of the stand can be easily adjusted. MADMAX22 Report post Posted April 19, 2009 That is really cool. Good job on a rush order lol, mine would have been far worse had I been rushed. That is also cool how you can adjust the height of it since it isnt bolted.
UKRay Report post Posted April 19, 2009 Great idea, Roo. I have been playing with the idea of using tripods for all kinds of things but this is a very cool application. Ray

TomSwede Report post Posted April 19, 2009 (edited) Good looking bowstand!!! The poor lacing excused due to the stressfactor, I think it is a great job with a 2 hour deadline. What is the height of it?? I may do one myself one day, I got an invitation to do a demo at the local archery club someday and this would be interesting to bring with me.
