Members Leerwerker Posted May 5, 2009 Members Report Posted May 5, 2009 Recently just wanted to do one of those "no-rules-doodle-to-your-heart's-content" exercises. Quote
Members CitizenKate Posted May 5, 2009 Members Report Posted May 5, 2009 Nice, Johan! Those are definitely off the beaten path. I love to see unique stuff like this. Kate Quote
JohnBarton Posted May 5, 2009 Report Posted May 5, 2009 Impressive!!! I will get out the stamps every so often and start playing with different combinations. When I read the title I was thinking of doodling on paper as I often do to work out technical construction problems and designs. I am pleasantly surprised to see that you meant "toodling" instead and worked it all on leather. I am SOOOOO stealing the reptile technique! :-) Quote
Members clairmullin Posted May 5, 2009 Members Report Posted May 5, 2009 How fun!!!!! I am going to have to do a no rules doodle also! Looks Great! Quote
Members Razz Posted May 6, 2009 Members Report Posted May 6, 2009 Yea the reptile one got me too. Do you mind me asking what tools you used . Realistic effect. Quote

Members Kustomizer Posted May 7, 2009 Members Report Posted May 7, 2009 Johan, nice stuff, I'll have to stop in and check them out in person, I really think the yellow/red pattern would look cool in a motorcycle solo seat. Quote
Ian Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 The frog skin pattern is great, as is the last one. I can't figure what tools you used to get that effect - it's great. BTW, I had a principal in S.A. named Potgieter (Robertsham Primary School in JHB), but of course, there's a million Potgeiters in S.A. so I'm sure no connection - but, you never know. Quote
Members Leerwerker Posted May 9, 2009 Author Members Report Posted May 9, 2009 Hi Ian, No relation that I know of ... The tools I used for the last pattern: First one is a hand made tools (made by my friend Jason Rovig) from square steel stock. And the second is my all time off-the-shelf favorite from Tandy - The triangle beveler with the lined texture. Quote
Members steppenwolf Posted May 13, 2009 Members Report Posted May 13, 2009 Leerwerker; the reptile technique is great! I hope you don`t mind if I steal it for a pesonal proyect. Quote
