This is about all I've been able to do lately. My back is still messed up. Gonna go to the VA today and get my records and try something else. This is the latest pattern from the Skiver and I've been wanting to do it ever since it came out. I think I have a pretty good start on it. I didnt think that line on the top left would show up quite that much. Bummer. I'll find somebody to give it to.

Tom: the line looks like a range scar or scratch, where the animal scratched an itch on barbed wire or a fence. As long as it is not an actual break in the leather it is salvageable ('a characteristic of genuine leather', you can tell the recipient). You can use a matting tool or a background tool over the entire outside of the design to minimize it after you've finished your tooling.

Looking good so far. Ive only done one of those and they can be little buggers.

Good luck with the VA and getting your medical taken care of. I know it can be a real hoot sometimes.
