black dye turning bronze

i live in california and only have access to the eco-flo dyes. i have noticed that the coal black dyes start to turn a bronze color in the bottle which transfers to the leather. is there anything i can do to counter this. it really looks ugly.

hello, i can't really help you but i can share my experience...i have had this happen as well and the only thing i can figure out is that it became contaminated...posibly by a brush used for a different colour that i may not have cleaned completely. i would like to think it was a bad batch rather than my fault..but i think the odds are against me.

You have two options....vote your Gov. out or move out of Calif. Eco Flo has to be the worst I have ever seen. everyone I have talk to has had problems with all the colors. So far I'm lucky. Live in Colorado. Still can get Fiebings dye. Ckeck Ebay.
