CharlieR Report post Posted May 28, 2009 I went in to a Tandy several weeks ago and they said they would order me a latigo hide--after several calls and several excuses, I still have no latigo---SO, I would love to hear some of you guys reply to this one also. saddles Report post Posted May 29, 2009 We use Triple C latigo for reins and latigos and Salz for strings and laces. The Triple C edges and rubs very well. The Salz is very strong but it takes a lot more to finish it. Weaver has Triple C and I think Montana Leather might as well. You can get Salz from Harvey J. Boutin & Sons in Califorina. We've also used the Thoroughbred latigo, but it was a little stretchy for my liking and a little harder to finish as well. Hope that helps a little, I have phone numbers if you need them! kevinhopkins Report post Posted May 30, 2009 Hi... It's gotta be Triple C. It's what I sell here in the store, and in all my years I've never had anything to complain about. When you put triple C latigo along side the cheap stuff that's available in some retail stores, well.... I really shouldn't say any more. But Triple C latigo will spoil you rotten!
