I got a few of the brass handbag frames that Seigle had in their sale paper. I "thought" they would have some kind of gripper teeth. But, each side is just a smooth channel for the leather. Would someone tell me how the leather is pressed in? e.g. Squeeze lowrer edges together on leather? Or, just flatten from one side (inside or outside?)? Does glue (barges) help any?

Any tips appreciated.

James,

I have their catalog and never saw that before. Their frames are in 2 different places (33 & 199) and I just missed it.

Thank you very much,

Regis

I think it is only about 15 - 20 years since I read that the occupation "Handbag Framer" was taken off the list of diff. occupations listed by the Labour and Industry crowd! I guess it was a busy job once!

Tony.
