I think the second number is your model number. In this case, 112w115.

Hey Josh, the machine is a 2 needle compound feed machine. It was, for a long time, the best that there was. They can still be rebuilt and last a lifetime. Hope this helps. Steve

It should handle 8-10 oz thickness of leather.

They are used alot for belts, dog collars & etc.

Guage parts are cheap too if you want to change the distance between needles.

Can you use it with just one needle?

And is this just a crazy fast machine or can the speed be controlled.

Thanks Josh

Sewing speed is a direct result of the motor on the machine. You should be able to fit it with one of the DC servo motors and a reducer. If you don't want to go that far yet, you can somewhat reduce the speed by putting a smaller pulley on the motor shaft, and a larger one on the head. It works just like gear ratios in a transmission.

yes,you can use a single needle if needed but the foot will be wide unless you buy one & grind it,is it sews ok it should be worth $290.00

If you want to slow it down.We now have a DC servo motor w/a built in reducer that mounts on the standard 3-holes as any other motor for less tha buying the two seperate & it's alot easier to install.
