anne newkold Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Is there anyone on this list that will help me I have now posted this question on two different place where some one made Chaps or Chinks. Is there anyone who will explain to me how to do the laceing that attaches the back strap to the leg of the chaps that looks kind of like a chevron? Beaverslayer Report post Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) That's why the BEEVE rules! Okay here ya go, took a bit more that 5 minutes but I hope it helps you out. I just used the 1/2" and 3/8" spacing for a demo, but you can decide what your spacing should be. Good luck. Clay Report post Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) Anne, here is a quick explanation with pictures. hope it helps. Start by punching holes in three rows. The middle row is offset by one. The holes need to match up on belt piece and chap top. Start lace from back side of belt piece going through row one hole one and row three hole one. Repeat on chap top so that both are together. bring both ends of lace together and go through row two hole one. This will complete the first line of the design. repeat untill finished bring lace ends back through on back side to secure. darn I guess i should have looked to se if any one else had replied lol Edited March 22, 2008 by Clay
