carr52 Report post Posted August 31, 2009 I saw it in the Tandy sale paper and thought I could just make it without buying the kit. As you can see I've made a few mistakes. I have an odd number of holes so I ended up with a knot on the side. Also I cut the top flap to narrow and it leaves too big a gap when closed. Thats all ok for the first one. I'll redo the pattern and post it when I get the bugs worked out. Tom
celticleather Report post Posted August 31, 2009 I wonder if this pattern might work better if the gusset was thonged inside the front and back? The front and back panels would ripple quite pleasingly (see below).

The wheat sheaves are a nice gentle touch. I like. Tom

carr52 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 Heres another attempt at the dasher bag. I tapered the gusset a little but didn't take into account the size difference of the top flap so it left it a little too open. oops. I didn't do any carving on it either. I'll wait till I get the darn thing figured out before I get into that on the next one. Tom
