Tyrel Report post Posted September 6, 2009 Hey All, This is my latest saddle. It is built on a Ben Swanke 15 1/2" Will James Tree. It has rough out seat and fenders with a rope border. Everything else is smooth out and basket stamped using an Ellis Barnes basket stamp and Barry King border stamps. I put in an inskirt rigging on this saddle also. I think that is for a rope strap, as I have seen some Arizona punchers with this type of set up, but have never looked one over up close. This is a very simple set up using a ring of rubber as you can see in the picture. Guaranteed not to lose your rope, but no guarantee that it will break if you are hung up! The only thing I'd suggest for improvement is trying to keep the space between the lower edge of your rear jockeys and the lower edge of the skirt, the same all the way around. It's not always possible to do this, especially if you have short skirts but on your saddle the rear edge of the jockeys are noticeably closer to the rear edge of the skirts when compared to the area underneath the rear rigging dees. If you lowered the bottom edges of the rear jockeys a bit, it would be less noticeable and the bottom edge of the rear jockeys would then line up better with the bottom edge of the front seat jockey. Steve Thanks Steve, I am getting more orders all the time for skirt riggs, my most popular riggings are still flat plates and dee riggings but people are noticing the good narrow seats and close contact with the skirt riggs. Other than that, great work. Darc Darc, Thanks for your comment and your advice. I see what your saying now after looking the pictures over. I get so used to doing something a certain way it takes a new set of eyes before I can see what im doing wrong. I tend to use shorter skirt on longer trees and longer skirts on shorter tree but i'll be trying to improve my flow lines and the balance on my saddles.
