Im usually very impressed with the amount of usuable leather, the grain sides are usually pretty clean. For the price its a good deal. The only issue that Ive had is the flesh side pulls up horribly bad. Sometimes it looks like a whooly mammoth or something. You can sand it smooth though if needbe.
