Members JoelR Posted September 28, 2009 Members Report Posted September 28, 2009 (edited) My second holster to go to somone other than myself. I'm really happy with the results. Especially after comparing it to the original proof-of-concept. Still need to work on a few things with regards to fit-and-finish, but as I said, I'm really happy with the results. Comments/critiques/criticisms welcome. Edited September 28, 2009 by JoelR Quote
MADMAX22 Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Hey thats my carry gun lol. Looks good, nice compact design. I dont have much holster experience so Ill leave the critiques up to the holster guys. By the way this is a good little gun, Ive carried and shot mine for several years and never a hiccup. Quote
dirtclod Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 JoleR your holster looks real nice you did a fine job on your sewing. But i would be carefull about cutting to far down in the belly espically in the flankie part like on the back side of the holster because it will streach real bad. Outside of that it looks like you have a fine deign on your holster. Quote
Members DCKNIVES Posted September 29, 2009 Members Report Posted September 29, 2009 I don't make concealment holsters for my customers(just me), but looks like you have the skills.Nice looking.Dave Quote
Members JoelR Posted September 29, 2009 Author Members Report Posted September 29, 2009 Thanks all. MADMAX22 - I've never been much of a Taurus fan, but I must admit I like the trigger on this piece. May have to ask the owner if I can put a magazine or two through it just to see how controllable this compact .45 is. dirtclod - Not sure I'm following you. Are you referring to the general outline of the holster? I'm guessing your recommendation is to watch how far I cut the drop from the sight rail to the trigger guard. Would extendting the reinforcing strap further toward the trigger guard help in this? Maybe something a little more like this back design: Quote
