yaklady Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 I can't find a forum for leather food, so I guess this will have to go here. Clay miller's wife Debbie invited me to go to a surprise birthday party for Clay, but my husband wouldn't let me drive 860 miles for a couple hours of fun. So I had to think of something special to make for Clay. Fortunately, it got there on the right day. Whenever I teach a class in Rapid City at Clay's store, we have pizza one day for lunch. I really don't know if Clay loves pizza, or just finds it an easy way to do lunch for class. To show my appreciation to him for having me up there to teach, and for being such a good friend, I made him a piece of pizza that he can keep forever, and will never rot. Quote

You win for "most original item made of leather" this month, hands down. Clay, happy happy birthday to you. May you have as many smiles every day this year as you've had this weekend. Johanna Quote

yaklady Posted October 26, 2009 Author Report Posted October 26, 2009 Thanks for all the swell comments! Now a friend wants me to make something for her husband's sherrif friend. A doughnut perhaps? Quote
Members Xeranthe Posted October 26, 2009 Members Report Posted October 26, 2009 That is totally cool and looks very realistic from the pictures. I hope that he doesn't leave it around where someone may try to eat it! ;-) Quote
Contributing Member Denise Posted October 26, 2009 Contributing Member Report Posted October 26, 2009 Kathy, Pizza for ClayM. I think a doughnut - with the icing licked off - for ClayB is in order! Quote
Members Corvus Posted October 26, 2009 Members Report Posted October 26, 2009 Looks good enough to eat! Quote
rcsaddles Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 That is so cool Maybe the next project should be a great big leather bowl or bucket to catch all the "talent" everyone seems to be overflowing with here. Could bottle and sell it. I love looking at work here but never have enough time. I already use my spare time which is between midnight and 5AM for sleeping. Quote
