GrampaJoel Report post Posted October 28, 2009 Hi, I'm looking to buy a stapler to use on leather and I am not sure of what brand or type to buy. Can anyone help? I plan to use it on making strap keepers and such. I prefer good quality tools. I am in the USA if that helps. Thanks GrampaJoel

GrampaJoel Report post Posted October 29, 2009 IF YOU CAN FIND IT, A "BOSTITCH" MODEL P6 WILL BE THE BEST ONE. Thanks Luke Hatley. I have looked at a lot of staplers but have not found a Bostitch model P6. Lots of other Bostitch models though. Is the P-6 you mentioned a model out of producrion? dirtclod Report post Posted October 29, 2009 I have a Neva Clog that is the best stapler i have ever used. Only bad thing is i can't find staples for it. I was told they went of business. So now i use a Ace heavy duty model # 82 . It works fine and you can get staples for it.

Denster Report post Posted October 29, 2009 The full model is the bostitch p6-8c. That is the heavy duty model that uses the heavy duty crown staples. You can google it or they have them on eBay. Best prices seem to be around $27 plus shipping.

GrampaJoel Report post Posted October 30, 2009 CampbellRandall Thanks for the reply. Does the stapler you mentioned leave a flat crown ? I am looking to make belt type of loops but want a flat crown when the staple is fixed in place. Thanks GrampaJoel

Thanks GrampaJoel GrampaJoel, LT-P356 P35 3/8 inch STAPLES The P35 uses a 3/8" wide staple and will set a flat crown. Many of our customers use it for belt loops.
