Members OdinUK Posted November 17, 2009 Members Report Posted November 17, 2009 Is block dying when you coat the areas to be painted red in laquer first before applying the red, to make it brighter? Or is it something completely different? Quote Lord Of Leather

TomSwede Posted November 18, 2009 Author Report Posted November 18, 2009 Thank yoy Marcel!!! I hope that I linke to CitizenKates tutorial in my tut. That's what got me started with doing blockdyeing. A fun technique to work with and very exciting, it can ruin your work easily if you load up your sponge with too much dye. Members NoahL Posted January 2, 2010 Members Report Posted January 2, 2010 Very cool work, Tom! Someday, when I get brave enough to try real tooling, I'd like to try that block dying method. For now, I'll just marvel at your use of it ~Noah Quote Website: Wasteland Leatherwork Collaboration Projects: The Wasteland Crow Project

For now, I'll just marvel at your use of it ~Noah Thanks Noah!!! Yeah the block dye tecnique is fun to work with. The secret lays mostly in the tooling, pay attention to any unintentionally raised areas and go over the cuts with a modeller to try and get them as even as possible. excellent tom...i always enjoy your work Thx Roo..same to you :-) Tom Quote Confucius - Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without. --------------------------------------------- www.1eye1.se blogg.1eye1.se
