jbird Report post Posted December 1, 2009 Howdy Tim that stuff is the worst stuff I have ever used its just the most usless product ever. first off its not at all like the other dyes at all its more like some oil base paint. you have to stir it shaking dosent do it and then try it, I hate it but you see what you think. PS it will not mix with your other dyes. Josh
MuseEvolution Report post Posted December 16, 2009 Agreed. Just testing it out I put about 13 coats and the leather still wasn't white. Wasn't aware of the stirring thing though, I'd only shaken it. Tried to make a grey by mixing it with USMC Black and all I got was a Preval bottle full of black dye and a gob of coagulated white gunk stuck to the bottom. ryano Report post Posted January 6, 2010 If you read Feibings dye chart, It says that white and gray dyes are not compatible with any of their other dyes. The white and gray are not worth a darn.
CitizenKate Report post Posted January 6, 2010 I've had one occasion when I was able to make it work, by spraying it on in about a dozen or so light passes. Some of the surface texture still came through and it went on fairly evenly. But I too hate the stuff. It's very hard to work with and the xylol fumes are very nasty. I doubt I'll ever buy any more. If I need white, I've had much better results with which using Krylon spray paint or acrylic. Kate
kimberangel Report post Posted January 6, 2010 Fiebing white is the worst stuff out there. To make pink , I use a dauber of ox blood in a small bottle of reducer. The same with grey, using a dauber of black and a small bottle of reducer. If you want darker adjust and use twice the oxblood or black. I hope that helps. kimber PS. I just made 2 large Hot Pink bags. For those I used 1/2small bottle of ox blood to one large bottle of reducer.

CitizenKate Report post Posted January 6, 2010 I am setting here trying to remember the color charts?????is white the absents of all pigment ;or is black the combination of all pigments ?????DOC.. Depends on if you're talking about light or pigment. Sounds like you're talking about pigment. So yes. White=no pigment, and black=all pigments. With light, it's just the opposite.
