Members RunningRoan Posted December 10, 2009 Members Report Posted December 10, 2009 I have decided to make myself a fancy leather strap for my laptop case. It'll be tooling leather on top and lined on the bottom. I would like to flare out the strap and pad it underneath where it will rest my shoulder. Wondering what material I should use for the padding and where to find it? I was thinking foam of some kind? I suppose I could live without the padding, but It would be more comfortable! Quote
dirtclod Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 I have used 1/4 neoprene a few times and it works fine. On the bottom i would use a piecs of suede to keep it from slipping. You can get the neoprene on ebay. Look for neoprene sheets. I belive that whats i found it listed under. Quote

I didn't even think of neoprene! That probably won't pack down like foam would. Thanks for the suggestion! Quote

A patch for wet suit works well for this. Buy enough for 2 and you will not have to go back a 2nd time. Buy for only one and it seams something will go wrong. Any how that how it works for me. Quote
