Moderator bruce johnson Posted January 16, 2010 Moderator Report Posted January 16, 2010 Steve, Another great looking rig with that really lines up. Two questions - Is the rope strap throught the swell cover or just under that leather concho and screwed down? How wide are your strings? Hard to tell from a pic, but they look maybe a bit under 1/2"? I had a guy call yesterday looking for off the rack silver slotted for 3/8 strings. Quote
Members Elwood Turner Posted January 16, 2010 Members Report Posted January 16, 2010 Great looking rig. Thanks for sharing. Elwood Quote

Members Tosch Posted January 17, 2010 Members Report Posted January 17, 2010 (edited) Traveller, Google is your friend, here you go : http://www.leathersu...es&Leathers.pdf Steve, where do you see the advantage over Blevins? Not so much bulk? So that you (as a user) would pay the price of it being more complicated to unhook? Tosch Edited January 17, 2010 by Tosch Quote

Not so much bulk? So that you (as a user) would pay the price of it being more complicated to unhook? Tosch Thomas,Less bulk,no sleve to wear out,and they are easiy to changeOne draw back is you need to run the keeper string in the next hole down or you will lose the keeper Steve Quote

Members Traveller Posted January 18, 2010 Members Report Posted January 18, 2010 Traveller, Google is your friend, here you go : http://www.leathersu...es&Leathers.pdf quote] I take it they're the ones in the lower left of the first page? They don't look quite as sturdy as Blevins, and look like they could lift out. Does that ever happen? They do look like they'd be easier to adjust than Blevins (or string, of course). Sorry, Steve, I don't quite understand what you mean about running the keeper string in the next hole down. I assume it's the leather string that hangs down from the keeper plate - you're saying you have to string it through a hole or it can get lost? Thanks! Joanne Quote
