LBCOW Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 This is addicting! My inspiration has been Al Stohlman (never heard of him 3 months ago) AWESOM! I got my wife a basic leather carving kit $200.00 for Christmas 2007. $1,300 later the kitchen table is getting smaller. Need to get rid if a kid for a leather crafting room. A guy can dream right! Looking forward to getting critiqued. Quote
Members Myriam Posted April 5, 2008 Members Report Posted April 5, 2008 Addicting, you say? I no longer have a kitchen table, it's been converted into a leather workbench! Good job on the figure carving! Quote
Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted April 5, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted April 5, 2008 Welcome LB, great to have you here. Just wondering though, if it's a gift you got your wife, how come your using it? Are you both taking up the craft? Great looking work so far, and don't worry about the kitchen table, you can always eat in the living room. Ken Quote
LBCOW Posted April 5, 2008 Author Report Posted April 5, 2008 Oh yeah, Never thought about the craft as a hobby! Once I saw the art I wanted to try it myself. We now have two mallets and fight for table space.. I'm working on a backrest for my Motorcycle now! I'm using a Mexican Braid around the edges. Whoa…. Be prepared to spend some time on that one. very time consuming Quote
