Rocky Report post Posted February 7, 2010 Hi friends of fine leatherwork, got some fotos of a knife sheath I made for a very good friend in Netherlands. The inlay is grinded rayskin coloured really exciting I think please enjoy looking , best regards from Germany, Fritz
gtwister09 Report post Posted February 7, 2010 Fritz, The ground rayskin sure does have a different look. Something unique. The overall design is quite nice as well. Regards, Ben
rickeyfro Report post Posted February 7, 2010 Fritz, where do you get the ground Rayskin? Or is this something you can do yourself to regular skins?
Bronson Report post Posted February 8, 2010 As always a beautiful sheath. I particularly like the design of the back side/belt loop. Bronson

gtwister09 Report post Posted February 8, 2010 Not Fritz but I have run a couple of skins through the thickness sander for other people... It knocks the top off of the rayskin. Regards, Ben
Rocky Report post Posted February 8, 2010 @ gtwister09 Thanks for your nice words - I`ve no idea how folks do it `cause I bought that ground rayskin in the condition as you see ! @ rickeyfro I bought it by my friend Stefan Mast www.messermacher-mast.de @ bronson I call that style of belt loop "integrated" belt loop `cause it`s a part of the mask covering the inlay - it creates the sheath very flat and makes it easy to pocket . @ tonyc1 Thanks to you too - making thoose eyecatcher is my passion !
