Contributing Member UKRay Posted February 8, 2010 Author Contributing Member Report Posted February 8, 2010 Ray, I stole the new emoticon. ~J Of course you did, I knew you wouldn't be able to resist it! Suze Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Ray I've seen Jo's purse --- that is just the tip of the iceberg she listed..... Quote Reality is for people who lack imagination Whether you think you can or think you can't - you are right. ~Henry Ford
Members wildrose Posted February 8, 2010 Members Report Posted February 8, 2010 Okay, let me see what I can offer... A pair of collapsible cups One of my coffee cup wraps One of my lighter covers Two mini flasks A Tandy ID pocket kit Two wrist cuffs, for the same person, to cover her tattoos for work Mystery braid in VA Tech colors (Go Hokies!) A bracelet for a customer...went through a few trying to get the spacing better Quote Holly Moore Wild Rose Creations http://www.wrcleather.com
Members gary Posted February 8, 2010 Members Report Posted February 8, 2010 Luke's comment on pocket size got me thinking (a rare event). How about something to carry them in such as a back pack or one of those pouch or bag things that you wear round your waist with a belt attached (a fanny pack I believe they're called in the US). Or a pair of braces (suspenders) to keep those trousers up once those pockets are full. And maybe a truss. And no, no pictures as it was just a thought or two. Gary Quote
Contributing Member UKRay Posted February 8, 2010 Author Contributing Member Report Posted February 8, 2010 Love your stuff, Holly. I'd like to see a picture of your really nice braided wristbands on here... Sorry Gary: Fun ideas though - I particularly like the idea of backpack to put it all in. Anyone got more pictures? Members wildrose Posted February 8, 2010 Members Report Posted February 8, 2010 Thought I had some pics, but couldn't find 'em. I have some bracelets though, so will take some later today. Quote Holly Moore Wild Rose Creations http://www.wrcleather.com
Members wildrose Posted February 9, 2010 Members Report Posted February 9, 2010 Okay, here goes. I've included one other style too, from a Tandy kit, that I'd done with a group of kids up in PA. For the braided bracelets, I sometimes use "plastic" lace to get colors I've not found yet in leather, particularly for local schools. I prefer to dye the leather strip black or a dark brown, then wrap it - no matter what color wrap I'm using. However, you can see the effect when that ISN'T done with this maroon and orange one (VA Tech colors) Quote Holly Moore Wild Rose Creations http://www.wrcleather.com
Members oldtimer Posted February 9, 2010 Members Report Posted February 9, 2010 (edited) Next time I dump my purse, I'll take some pics. Luke- pocket items for a woman are different than pocket items for a man. I have everything I need in my purse to be away for a few days except my laptop. Ray, I stole the new emoticon. ~J (Looking into a womans purse is like getting a glimpse of hell !) A pocket or purse should contain a Jack Sap ( or a Violence pouch, according to my daughter). It gives an attacker something different to think of ! / Knut Edited February 9, 2010 by oldtimer Quote "The gun fight at the O.K. corral was actually started by two saddlemakers sitting around a bottle of whiskey talking about saddle fitting"...
Suze Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 If a woman is carrying a purse -- she doesn't need a jack sap Quote Reality is for people who lack imagination Whether you think you can or think you can't - you are right. ~Henry Ford
