Members CarvedOn Posted March 28, 2010 Members Report Posted March 28, 2010 Is there a leather Guild in Arizona? I have not heard of one and would like to know. Thanks. B Quote
Members bentley Posted April 9, 2010 Members Report Posted April 9, 2010 There used to be an Arizona Guild that met at Tandy in Tempe. It was disbanded several years ago but I still have names and contact info for some of the old members. In fact someone probably still has the membership book and info. Many of the old members still show up at Tandy Tempe on Wednesday afternoon/evening to sit around and work on projects. The manager, Jim Augustson, keeps the store open until 7:00pm on Wednesdays as long as someone is wanting to stay and work. Jim is also very helpful with any project you bring in to work on. Members DRA6N Posted March 4, 2015 Members Report Posted March 4, 2015 I would like to dig this post out of the grave as I am curious about leather guilds in phoenix. I am located in west phoenix and I have tried looking them up on google but I haven't found a thing. Quote
Members SRDcrafted Posted March 15, 2015 Members Report Posted March 15, 2015 If you find one or start one I'm interested in joining, I also live in West Phoenix. I have been looking for one as well Quote

rickybobby Posted June 7, 2015 Report Posted June 7, 2015 I have a leather shop in Phoenix and would welcome anyone looking to start a formal or informal group meeting place. I do holsters, saddles, rifle scabbards, knife sheathes, chaps, chinks, Tooling, ect. But I learn the most from people beginning leather work. The questions asked by them are the most valuable! Once in a while I teach a class at Tandys on Greenway/35th Ave. Phoenix and most of the time it teaches me something! Let me know, I can schedule my production around a group meeting, space will be available to anyone interested, beginner or advanced. Once a week? every other week? evenings? Mornings? I'm open to the group time wise. Shop is located on 7th Ave. North of the 101 and South of Deer Valley Rd. Members ServantsHandWorkshop Posted February 15, 2021 Members Report Posted February 15, 2021 I thought I would chime in on this post as I'm just learning, been leatherworking since September/October and was asked if I had looked into a leather guild and came across this post. I'm out in Litchfield Park by Luke AFB but would love to know if anything ever came to be of this. Thank you Quote

As it seems i couldnt edit that post, i reread and realize it sounds as if i am asking to be taught and avail myself use of your equipment. This is not my intent and apologize for that. I meant that as a statement of if i get stuck/screw up, and ask for help, you would have the available equipment, and experience to show me how to fix it properly or easily. Quote
