Members TroyS Posted April 26, 2010 Members Report Posted April 26, 2010 Can someone please hook me up with some info on a "Singer 269w26" PLEASE! I have an opportunity to buy one at a very reasonable price but would like more info about it. Thanks in advance! Quote Troy
CowboyBob Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 Well there's at least 18 models in the book I have & the 269w26 is a Tacker meaning it has a cam the controls the # of stitches & the pattern. This model makes a stitch like what's on your jeans on the belt loop. 28 stitches from start to finish . See scan below. Moderator Wizcrafts Posted April 27, 2010 Moderator Report Posted April 27, 2010 Bar tacker machines are perfect for sewing on 3/4" and 1" wide Velcro strips. Lift the foot, position the Velcro under the needle, lower the foot, hit the pedal and in one second it is sewn on with a tight zigzag across the strip. Do that at the center and ends and she's good to go in half a minute.
