They fit real nice, one of the perks of making them I suppose. I will need to wear them awhile to break them in but the olive oil on the straps really made them pretty soft around the toe.

I like those, Jordan! I used to have a pair like that, and they were really comfortable. The only thing I did not like was that the strap stretched and stretched and stretched... Must've been made from belly.

Where did you get your pattern?

Used an old pair of flipflops to get the shape then looked at a bunch of pictures on the net of all kinds of sandals then figured out how to route the straps and went for it. I am very happy with how they turned out, actually some of my best stitching so far, next time I will use my machine and save my fingers.

Sorry for the delay, been visiting relatives is hemet ca. for the last week. I have not had much wear time due to snow and now rain, but they are holding up good.

Nice job Jordan!

I made some but have not tried them in leather yet, I worked with nylon webbing to make mistakes! And there were plenty!

Leather uppers and Leather footbed will be in my next pair, Putting crape sole material under the foot bed would give some cushion. We also have a product called "cloud" material that is light weight and will conform to your foot some for the foot bed. Cloud can also be covered with chap leather to make a comfortable foot bed.

Nice job, flip-flops will be my next project, seems all the youngsters wear them in Utah, rain or shine. Have to get my shop area back to working condition though as I have been sidetracked lately researching guitar building.
