AndyL1 Report post Posted May 3, 2010 Just like it says, I made this little bag up really quick without a lot of detail involved. I wanted it to look rough to kind of match the way the leather looks. It's a little present for a friend of mine who is graduating nursing school, so I thought a Healing Hand design would be quite fitting on the front. This one is 8" x 10" x 2.5" and a trick braid strap. Hope you all like it! -Andy
abn Report post Posted May 3, 2010 It may be quick and dirty, but it's very elegant. Nice job there!
AndyL1 Report post Posted May 3, 2010 It may be quick and dirty, but it's very elegant. Nice job there! Thanks a lot! It's made from Tandy's Stoned Oil Side. This leather is amazing... I love the feel of it and the texture it gets from handling. It picks up nice marks and scratches that fade out when rubbed. Cool stuff. -Andy
abn Report post Posted May 3, 2010 Best of all, you don't have to dye or finish it -- which is a significant benefit for larger projects. I admit I don't experiment around much with different types of leather... I'll have to check this stuff out next time I'm in Tandy. Thanks for the idea. Somawas Report post Posted May 3, 2010 (edited) I used that same leather for a possibles bag. It is really cool stuff. Pretty easy to stitch, too. Edited May 3, 2010 by Somawas
