Members RSFknives Posted May 29, 2010 Members Report Posted May 29, 2010 here are a few pics of my latest sheath with it´s knife the knife is made from Damasteel with snakewood scales and a 0.02" thick black liner. it is 9.85" long, 1.6" wide and has a blade thats 5.12" long measured diagonally from the plunge to the tip. there are a couple of small things to do to it before it goes out the door. what do you all think of the leather work and the knife? /Roger Quote
Members Tkleather1 Posted May 29, 2010 Members Report Posted May 29, 2010 I really like them simple but with "curb appeal". So is the knife made of true damascuss or is it a "printed steel"? and what would a knife like that go for? Look Great. Tim TK-Leather Quote
MADMAX22 Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 Nice design on the knife I like it. The sheath goes very well with it so I would say your good to go with that. Quote
Members RSFknives Posted May 30, 2010 Author Members Report Posted May 30, 2010 damasteel makes their billets from pmc 27 and rwl34 it isn´t a traditional damascus in the sence of welding 2 or more steels together they make it from powder and weld it under high preasure, after that they coin it, twist it or whatever they have to to get the patterns they want. check out their website http://www.damasteel.com/index.html /Roger Quote
dirtclod Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 Roger, they both look great ! I would be proud to own either one. Quote
Members SimonJester753 Posted July 16, 2010 Members Report Posted July 16, 2010 I'd love to see a how-to on both the sheath and the knife. Quote
