leatheroo Report post Posted July 27, 2010 I have been using my new favorite toy, thanks to the generosity of our member Bevan (http://www.bwrwhips.com/) It is a lace cutter and beveler. I have tried to bevel lace the manual way but always ended up with the lace cut or my fingers cut...BUT NO MORE!!!! This wonderful gadget does it perfectly every time and with such little effort I havent used the cutting part yet as i still have quite a good supply of precut roo, but i have been using the beveling bit. I always wondered if it was worth beveling lace but i think it does give a much better finish. I am currently lacing a seat and will post a pic when i am finished. leatheroo Report post Posted April 21, 2011 Benlilly, the underside of the lace is beveled, so the outer edge of the lace is thinner and will sit much better when braided. It doesnt have to be only for lace that you cut yourself...the lace in the photo is bought lace that i beveled the edges. cheers Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
