Spinner Report post Posted August 21, 2010 Here's my latest tank bib, made for a customer that picked up a set of my custom side covers a few weeks ago. He wanted the tooling to match the pin striping he has on his bike along with the bike's name. He also asked that the name be colored to match the ruby red bike paint color. One stipulation though, he didn't want the tooling to be overwhelming so he requested no antiquing. The lacing up the side is a double loop combined with a running stitch through the same holes. The bottom of the pocket is left unstitched so he can run wires for his phone charger and iPod shuffle.

TroyS Report post Posted August 22, 2010 Those side covers are catching on huh? I want to make a set for mine now! I really like the natural colors with red toned bikes! That looks great now but in a year, it'll look incredible! The lacing looks nice but kinda hard to see detail. I know what your talking about but some may not. I think you did an outstanding job and you made one customer VERY happy! Bravo!
Spinner Report post Posted August 22, 2010 Thanks Troy,, the side covers are working out nicely....not including my own set, I'm working on sets #4 & 5 for orders, didn't expect them to sell like hotcakes but a few sales is nice. I'll see about posting a detail shot of the lacing.

Thumper Report post Posted August 28, 2010 Beautiful work Spinner..!!!!! Would you be so kind to share the weight of leather used and any dimensions? I'm new to leather stuff and spend most of my time reading and researching. I have a 1300 that I would love to make a tank bib for. Those side bags are totally AWESOME.! I can't wait to see the details on those so I can make me some.
