Western Style Belt

This belt has webbing reinforcement in the middle of two pieces of 5/6 oz leather. It has double stitching all around and goes from one inch in the center to three quarters of an inch at the ends.

Very timely thread , nice belt. My kids have just asked me to make a similar belt for a school friends Dad. I like the tapered ends and double stitching - will have to borrow these idea's

The belt is made up of two strips of leather glued and then sewn together. The webbing is in between the two pieces of leather to strengthen the belt and to keep it from stretching.

Thank you! Here is a tip: It is best to start with a strip of leather that is wider than what you want, then trim it down close to the edge. I am not so good at sewing very close to the edge.
